Obituary of Wendell Edward Tantzen

Wendell Edward Tantzen, 77, of Spurger passed away June 6, 2014. Born February 12, 1937 in Dawson, Tx to the late Wilmer Tantzen and Lucille Bailey Tantzen, he lived in Spurger for many years. He was retired as an electrical engineer from Bayer Corp in Orange, Texas and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Wendell is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley Tantzen; sons, Jay Edward Tantzen of Bridge City and John Michael Tantzen of Woodville; grandchildren, Michael Kadin Tantzen and Kimberly Hope Tantzen both of Woodville; sisters, Lue Ellen Gregory of Atlanta, GA and Sherry Andrews of Huntsville, Tx; brother, Leonard Harris of Huntsville, Tx; and a host of other family members and friends. A grave side service will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 12:30 pm with U.S. Navy rites held. Dr. Lewis Gregory will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 am until 12 noon at the funeral home.
