Northwest nights in the mid '80s had many good people and Jim was one of the best and a pretty fair card player as I recall. Rest easy sir, those of us left will remember.

I was very sad to hear that Jim had passed at such a young age, the same as mine. I had the privilege to work with Jim at HPD Northeast Police Station, at First City Bank and at Burglary and Theft. He was great to work with and kept me entertained with many stories. I know he loved his family which he spoke of often. I am looking forward to seeing him again in heaven.

I worked with Jim at HPD, riding night shift at Northwest patrol. I was quite the rookie when we met at I always valued his good advice which was always given in a calm, and most times humorous fashion. He worked hard at being a good policeman and he will be missed. Rest In Peace old buddy.

James was a Great Police Officer . His time with us at the San Augustine Police Department will not be forgotten. James had the best and most detailed stories from his Houston PD years and we loved hearing them. We will miss his calling us to catch up on the Department. Praying for His family.

Jim and I were partners for several years in B&T. Jim was a good Detective and I always knew he had my back.

We are deeply saddened to hear this news. Both my husband, who served with James at Northwest Substation in Houston, and myself as we spent many afternoons at their home as "Ms Barbie" watched my son about 30 years ago! Two of the finest people we have known. Prayers to you, Jesse and your family.
