Obituary of Joe Palmer Duke, Sr.

Joe Palmer Duke Sr., 71, of Warren passed away May 16, 2018.

Born August 14, 1946 in Falfurrias, Texas to Edwin Fox Duke and Velma Goates Duke.

A devoted father and brother, he loved gardening, was an avid bowler and friend to all.  A Veteran of Vietnam and our Hero. He is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Duke, partner Cindy Powers of Beaumont; Katy LeBaron, husband Danny of Nederland; Kelly Moore, husband Gary of Silsbee; Kristin Tucker, husband Jackie of Woodville; son, Joe Palmer Duke Jr. and wife Denise of Lake Charles, Louisiana; grandchildren, Katlyn LeBaron, Ashlyn LeBaron, Darrell Tucker, Braxton Tucker, Anna-Katherine Duke,  Gavin Moore, Andrea Moore, Nathaniel Moore and Angela Moore; Brothers, Eddie, John, Robbie, Victor, David, Lowell " Boogie", Frank Duke; Sisters Carol Koym, Katy Cathey; Georgia McElroy, companion of many years and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and dear friends.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 12 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Neil Higginbotham officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday from 11 until the time of the service.

Serving as pallbearers; Joe Palmer Duke Jr., Eddie Duke, John Duke, Robert Duke, Victor Duke, David Duke and Lowell Duke.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
