Obituary of Shirley Marie Read

~~Shirley Marie Read, 61, of Longview passed away October 20, 2017.

Born November 11, 1955 in Kirbyville, Tx to the late James and Margaret Williams Read, she lived in Woodville before moving to Longview.  She was employed by Jordan Health Care. 

Shirley is survived by her son, John Morrow and wife, Shelley of White Oak, Tx; grandchildren, Dominic Morrow and Courtney Morrow both of White Oak and Michael Morrow of Kilgore; great grandchild, Tyler Morrow of White Oak; sisters, Barbara Read of Jasper, Jody Read of Blanco and Sandra Moody of Mobile Alabama; brothers, James Claiborne Read and wife, Beverly of Kountze, Billy Jack Read of Midway, Roger Dale Read and wife, Kendra of Barnesville, GA, David Wayne Read and wife, Cathy of Magnolia; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Funeral service was held Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at 10 am at Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Dale Purdy officiating.  Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery near Colmesneil, Tx.  Visitation was held Tuesday, October 24, 2017, from 5 – 7 pm at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers were Gavin Stanley, Bill Read, Michael Morrow, Dominic Morrow, Shelby Harper and Zachary Cogar.  Serving as honorary pallbearer was Milton Evans.
