Martha,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and Kalli. Gregory Lynn was one of the most kind and generous men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and working with. I will always remember the great times we all spent together listening to the guys play guitars and sing. I will always cherish those good old days! Stay strong and know he will never be forgotten.

I know Warden Dawson is fishing with Jesus now. He was the best mentor that anyone could have. He was always willing to listen to you if you had a problem. When I left the prison he came by my new job to check on me and told me if I ever need anything just let him know. He was a very caring and loving but firm boss. That meant so much to me it showed me that their are so wonderful people left here on earth. We even had fun we took our TCLOSE test together. Rest In Peace BOSS I will never forget your and your kindness.

My heart goes out to Warden Dawson's family and friends. Everyone who worked for him in Newton knew that we had a boss that would be there for us and help us in any way that we needed. Almost every day for 2 years, Warden Dawson took time to have lunch with all of his "ladies" at the diner in Newton. He was such an easy going fella. I am so very thankful to have all of the memories that were made at the prison in Newton and will never forget Warden Dawson. Rest in peace. Ms. Martha and Kalli, my prayers are with you 2 ladies and please believe and know that God will wrap his loving arms around you both and see you through the hard times that you are facing right now. God bless and keep you.

I first met Greg at the opening of the Gib Lewis Unit. Not only was he my supervisor, but a great friend, and brother mason. I had the great honor of working with him at the Gib Lewis Unit, the Goodman Unit, and at the Angelina County Sheriff’s Department. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
To Gregg’s family, you have my deepest and heartfelt sympathy, and I pray that our Heavenly Father grants His love, protection, and comfort to you all. May you trust in this assurance that in Christ we have victory over death because of His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection; we will see Greg again in our Heavenly Home above.

Dawson was truly one of a kind. He always pushed me to my full potential when he was my Warden. He was always there to help anyone. I remember the last time I saw him, now it had been at least 2 years since we had seen each other, when he looked up and saw me he had the biggest grin. Now since it was about business I reached out to shake his hand, he pushed it away and said you better give me a hug woman. I will never forget him. RIP

I am so sorry for your loss. Greg was a wonderful man. He was a great mentor, advocate, friend, and listener. He was always fair and honest. He touched many lives in Newton and I know he will always be remembered as a great man. His spirit is strong but his body was weak.Know what God has given you. The time with him. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. He will direct your path. Have confidence in the Lord and his word because you will see Greg again. Praying.

Greg was most supportive of our ministry to Gib Lewis prison. He was a real believer in what we have attempted to do with New Life Behavioral Ministry. As a Warden,he was one of the best! Honoring fallen officers at the Gib Lewis Unit in 2008, Senior Warden Dawson saying a few words. I took these photos & arranged from my Pastor Ross Shelton to say a prayer. Dawson's team w his support & leadership made this one of the MOST memorable memorials, he TRULY valued his staff. Now, it's our turn to honor him as his shift ends here on earth and his new post begins in heaven. SALUTE Warden Dawson!
