Obituary of Frances Evelyn Fortenberry

Frances "Evelyn" Fortenberry, 81, of Woodville, TX passed away on October 28, 2014. She was born on June 25, 1933 to Troy and Olive Lowery Cooley in Flint, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles "Slim" Fortenberry; sister Susie Scritchfield; brother Gene Cooley; and stepmother Lena Cooley. Evelyn is survived by her children Cassandra Sanders, David "Bubba" Fortenberry, Jeannie McLennon, and Medina Fortenberry; brother Sonny Cooley; sisters Ann Hitt, Mary Alice Oldham, and Caroline Boll; grandchildren Jacob Sanders, Kimberly Allen, Pamela McLennan, Lauren McLennan, and Callan Shimkus; great-grandchildren Alexis Allen, Bryan McLennan, and August Sanders. Visitation Wednesday, 10/29/14 at Riley Funeral Home from 6-8 pm. Graveside Service Thursday, 10/30/14 at 2 pm at Camp Ground Cemetery in Woodville, TX.
