Obituary of Lila Elroy Kirkland

Lila Elroy Kirkland 82, of Woodville passed away August 23, 2014 at her home. Lila was born October 7, 1931 in Sumpter, Arkansas to Joseph and Sallie Durey Savage. They have preceded her in death as well as her husband Gene. Lila worked at the Tyler County Hospital as nurse for many years. She then worked for Tyler County Title in the abstract department. Lila’s outgoing personality will be greatly missed by the people who loved and knew her. Lila is survived by a daughter; Lila Jo Kirkland of Woodville; two sisters, Jackie Brooks of Crossett AR, Chyrl Carlotta Slocum of Fountain Hill, AR; four brothers; Lyance Lee “Bo” Savage of Hamburg, AR, Lawrence Reed Savage of Maplevale, AR, Eddie Dean Savage of Hamburg, AR, Jerry Don Savage of Fountain Hill, AR. Visitation will be at Riley Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Monday, August 25, 2014. Services are scheduled for Tuesday August 26, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Raymond Parker officiating. Interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery .
