Obituary of Tom Dick Mann

Tom was born January 16, 1927 in Colmesneil, Texas to the late John and Annie Jordan Mann. He taught at Vidor I.S.D. before moving back to Colmesneil where he served as the Tyler County Judge and a Deputy Sheriff Officer. He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was the first person recognized as Citizen of the year by the Tyler County Chamber of Commerce. Tom was known throughout the county as a Godly man and a man who loved his family. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Sue Mann and a great grandson, Corbin Lee Mann. Tom is survived by his loving family, sons, Robert H. “Bob” Mann and wife, Sue of Woodville and Jeff Mann and wife, Cheryl of Colmesneil; daughter, Aletha Pat Belt and husband, Randy of Fairfield; sisters, Patsy Sutton of Houston and Peggy Manry of Temple; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
