Obituary of Charlie Alton Pelt

Charlie Alton Pelt, 87, formerly of Warren, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2014 in Kalispell, MT. Born in Pine Ridge, TX. to the late Charlie and Mertie Jacobsen Pelt, Alton served in the Merchant Marines during WWII and received an honorable discharge from the United States Coast Guard. He is survived by his children, Gary Pelt of Beaumont, TX. and Deborah Epperson of Kalispell, MT., one brother, Kenneth Pelt of Pine Ridge, TX., his grandchildren, Tara Skinner and Garrett Epperson, both of Montana, and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Alton was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Arnold, a sister, Kathy, and his loving wife of 55 years, Betty Castilaw Pelt. Funeral services will be held at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville, TX. on August 8, 2014 at 1:00 PM. It will be followed by burial at the Village Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM the day of the service. Bro. Larry Trest will officiate.
