Obituary of Charles Alphis Cleburn

Charles Alphis Cleburn was born June 25, 1935, in Honey Grove , Texas and passed away November 3, 2019.

He was the son of Woodrow Wilson Cleburn and Johnnie Lucille Gladden, and brother of Richard Michael Cleburn, all who preceded him in death.  He has been a cowboy, a welder, a welding inspector and, in the end, a farmer.  He has been a husband, a father, a grandfather, a brother, an uncle, and a friend.   He traveled the world working for Gulf Pipeline, then Chevron Pipeline. 

He dearly loved his wife, Libbie Fain Filler Cleburn, who passed in 2012.  His second love was his friend and companion Sheila Rauch, who stayed and shared life with him the last 5 years.  He is survived by his daughter Tracey Elizabeth Cleburn, his stepchildren Marianne, Marjie, and Stuart Lee Filler, his sister Billie Lee Adams , his nephews Mark (Diane) Perez, Richard Michael Cleburn, Jr., and other nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and numerous cousins from both the Cleburn and Alexander families. 

A graveside service will be held at the Hopewell Cemetery at 12:00pm on November 6, 2019.
