Obituary of Evie Louise Armes

Evie Louise Day Armes, 87, of Lumberton passed away September 28, 2019.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Charles and Sarah Day, she lived in Lumberton for many years.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew and loved her.

Evie was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

Evie is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Ernest K. Armes; daughters, Judy Armes of Houston, Laurie Goldsmith and husband, Tom of Salado, Tx, Molly Nelson and husband, Robert of Lumberton, Tx; son, Timothy Armes and wife, Kelly of Olive Branch, MS; grandchildren, Travis Armes of Dallas, Garret Armes and wife, Amy of Dallas, Coleman Armes of Memphis, TN, Savannah Armes of Galveston, Kate Goldsmith of Austin, Jake Nelson of Waxahachie and Erika Wade and husband, Josh of Baytown; sisters-in-law, Alvina Day and Rosita Day;and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held Friday, October 4, 2019, at 12 noon at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at the Village Mills Cemetery in Village Mills, Tx.  Visitation will be held Friday, October 4, 2019 from 10 am until the time of the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Armes, Garret Armes, Coleman Armes, Jake Nelson, Tom Goldmsith and Tim Armes.
