Obituary of Robert Lee Railey, Jr.
Robert Lee Railey, Jr., 94, of Woodville passed away Friday September 13, 2019. He was born March 25, 1925 in Houston, Texas to the late Robert Lee Railey, Sr. and Elise Rodgers Railey.
Robert was a tugboat mariner by trade. He was a master operator of uninspected towing vessels for forty years. He was employed by Parker Bros. for thirty of those years. He also served in the United States Navy during WWII.
Robert is survived by his children; Jimmy Allbright and wife Judy of Magnolia, Albert Railey of Beaumont, Kaye LaFour of Livingston; stepson, Greg Brown of Livingston; grandchildren, Venus Michelle White and husband Randy of Lumberton, Tabitha Nicole Haga and husband Lee of Lumberton, Lisa Singleton and husband Eric of Magnolia, Tanya Adams and husband Shawn of Magnolia, Justin Railey and wife Stefani of Livingston, Nickolas Railey and fiancée Blakely Murry of Livingston, Ginger Miller and husband Derek of Livingston, Billy LaFour of Livingston, Cody LaFour and wife Tabetha of Austin; special niece Denise of Woodville; 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children, Joyce Hughes; wife, Mona Rae Railey; and brother, Donald Railey.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 11AM at the Riley funeral Home Chapel in Woodville, Texas. Interment will be held at Campground Cemetery in Woodville at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Memorial contributions be made to the American Legion Post 299.
