Obituary of James Oliver Nichols

James “Jim” O. Nichols, 76 of Woodville passed away July 16th in Doucette. Jim loved the outdoors and seeing the world. He was a retired independent truck driver. His two favorite places where in the saddle and behind the wheel. He valued hard work perseverance over any shortcut or easy way out. Jim strove to share his love and passion with his family. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be fondly remembered. Jim is survived by his Wife, of 36 years, Elaine Ferry Nichols. He is also survived by his 4 siblings: Thomas O. Nichols of Silsbee; A.H. Nichols of Colemesneil; Barbara A. Hinote of Tyler; Stella L. Tohill of Omaha, TX. Jim is survived by 5 children: Anthony T. Omes of Brookland; Kevin J. Omes of Woodville; Dana M. Stanley of Jasper; Lorie A. Hillebrandt of Woodville; Polly Baily of Huntington. At the time of his death, Jim had 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 943 US Hwy 190 West in Woodville, TX.
