Obituary of Paula Sue King

Paula Sue King, 66, of Hillister, Texas went home to be with the Lord on August 17, 2019. She was born March 29, 1953 in Springhill, Louisiana to James Pevy and Nona Edwards Zwirnmann.  She married the love of her life, Tony King, on December 18, 1969 and they were blessed with three sons before moving to Texas in 1979.

Paula was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Warren, Texas for more than 30 years. She had an immense love for the Lord which was evident as she served as Sunday school teacher, church secretary, and gave her time and heart to many other areas of the church. Her servant heart shined each day to anyone who met her.

Paula had a love for crafting and could be found in her craft room making someone a card, t-shirt, or scrapbook. This is also where she loved to spend quality time with her grandchildren and share her love of the Lord from across the craft table.

She always put her family and friends first, as they were her world. As known from anyone who knew her, there aren’t words to express her love for life. For we know without a doubt she was told, “Well done my good and faithful servant.”

Paula is preceded in death by her parents, James and Nona

She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Tony King. Sons, Rev. Ed King and wife Alicia of Bay Springs, Mississippi; Tony King and wife Wendy of Wildwood, Texas; Chad King of Hillister, Texas; Sister, Danita Thomas of Hot Springs, Arkansas; brother, Mark Pevy of Aurora, Colorado; Her lifelong Best Friend, Debbie Williams and husband Robert of Shongaloo, Louisiana; beloved Granny to her grandchildren, Lauren and husband Bobby Daggett, Will, Josh, Tabitha, Cameron, Matthew, Kelsey and husband John Bradley, Kylie, Austin, Kloey, Aadin and Dusti; Great-grandson, Jaxson Bradley with great-grandbaby Daggett due to arrive in the Spring.
