Obituary of Allen Ard

Allen Ard, 82, of Spurger passed away June 30, 2014 at his residence. A lifelong resident of Tyler County, he was a retired driller/mechanic for Big 6. Allen is survived by his sister, Ludie Myers of Woodville; brothers, Earnest Ard and Joe Ard both of Town Bluff; son, John Allen Ard of Onalaska; daughter, Mary Landers of Silsbee; stepdaughters, Paula Ard of Onalaska, Teresa Eddins of Brookland; stepson Jim David Ratcliff of Spurger; thirty-two grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 3, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Beech Creek Church in Spurger with burial to follow at the Beech Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 pm until 8 pm at Riley Funeral Home in Woodville.
