Obituary of Sam Brocato, Jr.

Sam Brocato, Jr., 84, of Warren passed away June 6, 2019.

Born February 22, 1935 in Beaumont, Texas to the late Salvatore Brocato and Bessie Gallo Brocato, he lived in Warren for 49 years.  He retired from Bethlehem Steel after 35 years of service and served in the U. S. Naval Reserve.  Sam enjoyed trail riding and fishing with family and friends.  He also loved spending time with his family.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Rose Blackwell and Mary Ann Waugh and a brother, Danny Brocato.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Gloria Brocato; sons, Billy Ray Brocato and wife, Kimiyo of Marshall, Samuel Jay Brocato and wife, Valerie of Beaumont, Michael Wayne Brocato and wife, Jeflyn of Conroe and Craig Allen Brocato and wife, Joanna of Kountze; daughters, Sherry Lynn Liddell and husband, Jeff of South Dakota, Debra Kay Mandola and husband, Frank of Houston, Brenda Sue Cutrer and husband, Barry of Colmesneil and Cynthia Marie Riley and husband, Martin of Lumberton; brother, Charles Brocato and wife, Ginger of Lake Charles; sister, Pat Davis and husband, Truman of Lumberton;  twenty- five grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 11 am at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church in Woodville.  Burial will follow at the Camp Ground Cemetery near Woodville.  A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 pm followed by visitation until 5 pm at Riley Funeral Home. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Jerrod Buckner and Travis Brocato, Blake Buckner, Braeden Riley, Jordan Ashworth, Dylan Brocato, Tyler Cutrer, Trevor Brocato and Ayden Welch.
