Obituary of Perry Joe Holmes Sr.

Perry Joe Holmes, Sr., 60 of Spring passed away Sunday, 12 May 2019. He was born in Houston, Texas, 21 October 1958 to the late Eddie and Irma Holmes.

Perry worked at XPO, Logistics, formally Conway Freight for 21 years as a truck driver. He was a lifelong Hunter and Fisherman and loved spending time with family and friends outdoors every chance possible. Perry never turned down an opportunity to catch a fish or kill a deer.

Perry is survived by his devoted wife Judy Paulette Holmes; daughter Tracey and husband Johnny Kerr; son Perry Holmes Jr.; granddaughters, Taeya Marie Holmes, Polly Kathleen Kerr, Riley Elizabeth Kerr and grandson, Todd Johnston Kerr. Brothers, Jack, Donnie, Ronnie and Dennis. Sister Janice. Brother in law, Tom Twardowsky. Sisters in law, Debbie Love, Cyndi Holmes and Debbie Kunschick. Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Perry is preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Irma Holmes, his brother’s Eddie Holmes and Carrol Ray Love. His mother in law Louise Craine and father in law Dwayne Craine.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Love, Don Halt, Paul Fant, Johnny Kerr, Robert Holmes, Aicardo Rivera, Eddie Holmes, and DJ Halt.

Honorary Pallbearers will include Todd Kerr and Dennis Holmes.

Visitation will be held at Riley Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday 18 May 2019 from 12-2pm. Procession to the grave will be at 2:30pm. Graveside Service will be from 3-4pm at Shady Grove Cemetery, Whitetale Ridge.
