Obituary of Lucille Ginn Roberts
Lucille Ginn Roberts, 94, of Woodville passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on April 18, 2019.
Born February 22, 1925 in Houston, Texas to the late Emmett and Effie Butler Ginn, she was raised by her loving aunt and uncle, Vida and Allen Zilliox. She lived in Woodville for many years where she was a long time member of the First Assembly of God Church in Woodville. Lucille loved to crochet and enjoyed the spring time when she could get outside and fill her yard with many beautiful flowers. She and Buddy loved to travel and enjoyed taking the grandchildren whenever they could. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew and loved her.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 63 years, J. L. “Buddy” Roberts.
She is survived by her loving children, Hazel Cupples, Claude Allen Roberts and Susan, Karen Greaff and Butch and Marty Roberts; grandchildren, Amanda Newman and Greg, Cheri Wagner and Darrell, Amy Gramling and Curtis, Cody Roberts, Casey Roberts, Cameron Roberts, Dean Turner, Lisa Turner, Kelli Barbella and Frank, Kim Weatherford, Michael Greaff and Gina, Ginger Cuccerre and Rodney and Dusty Ware and Dallas; fifteen great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2019, at 4 pm at the funeral home with Sister Billie Lewelling officiating. Burial will follow at the Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville. Visitation will be held Saturday from 3 pm until the time of the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Greaff, Dusty Ware, Cody Roberts, Cameron Roberts, Zaccary Weatherford and Tyler Weatherford. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Chase Wheeler and Cole Ware.
