Obituary of Juanita Vernez Anderson

Juanita Vernez Anderson, 89, of LaPorte passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018. She was born August 20, 1929 in Honey Island, Texas to the late Joe Rodgers and Bernice Flowers Rodgers.

She is survived by her sons, Roger Anderson and wife Kathryn of Nacogdoches, Johnny Anderson and wife Linda of Oregon; daughters, Wonda Stone and husband Howard of LaPorte, Kathy Anderson and Troy Raskin of Dickinson; grandsons, William Stone of LaPorte, Lance Anderson and wife Amy of Nashville, TN, and Dusty Anderson of Hudson; Billie Fay Anderson Toman and husband John of Seattle, WA, Mondee Stone of Dickinson, Sunnie Winter Winkle of Mont Belvieu, Crissy Anderson Legg and husband Andy of Anahuac, Brandie Winter Cazares and husband Andrew of Atascocita; sister, Darlene Hollbrook of Colmesneil; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and numerous other family members.

Juanita is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon Anderson; granddaughter, Jennifer Anderson Brower.

Serving as pallbearers will be Willy Stone, Laik Dugue, Jake Winkle, James Winkle, Lance Anderson, Troy Raskin, and Andrew Cazares.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 6-8PM at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 9, 2018 at 2PM at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Stephen McBride officiating. Burial will be at Jordan Cemetery in Honey Island, Texas.
