Obituary of Junior Lee Abshire

Junior Lee Abshire, 86, of Woodville passed away peacefully on November 3, 2018.

 He was born May 26, 1932 in Crowley, Louisiana to Pierre Abshire and Edna Broussard Abshire, he lived in Woodville for many years.  He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran, a self-employed painter, and owner of the St. Theresa apartments in Houston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Euella Abshire; brother, Ronnie Abshire;  and a granddaughter, Crystal Nicole Abshire.

Lee  is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Joyce Abshire; step mother, Ella Mae Abshire; daughter, Sheila Abshire Nowlin and husband, Mark C. of Woodville; son, Brian Allen Abshire of Zavalla; Grandchildren, Richard R. Rice, III, Ryan M. Rice and Chad A. Abshire; great grandchild, Devin P. Gray  brother, Dalton Abshire, Mike Abshire and wife Carol sisters; Liz Abshire, Shirley Huff and husband Sam, Renee Dean and husband Pat; Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018, at 3 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Amanda Davis officiating.  Burial will follow at the Camp Ground Cemetery in Woodville.  Visitation will be held Saturday from 1 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
