Obituary of Zelma Mitchell
Zelma Mitchell, 91, of Woodville passed away peacefully on October 27, 2018.
Born October 4, 1927 in Chester, Texas to the late Wyatt Spurlock and Alice Tony Spurlock, she lived in Tyler County most of her life. She was a seventy year active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew and loved her.
Zelma is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, M.T. (Sonny) Mitchell; son, James Paul Graves and wife, Nancy Ann of Woodville; sister, Alma Debes of Beaumont; grandchildren, Gina Anne Bloss of Vidor, Courtney Lynn Smith of Montgomery, Michael Corey Graves; great grandchildren, Devin Symmons of Austin, Dustin Symmons of Port Neches, Danielle Graves of Vidor, Brody Bloss of Vidor, Preston Smith of Montgomery, Taylor Graves of Baytown, Trevor Graves of Baytown and Westin Graves of Bridge City and six great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018, at 10 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Rocky Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Chester, Tx. Visitation will be held Friday, November 2, 2018, from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Miller, Kenrick Harris, Jasper Miller, Nick Matilda, William Miller and Johnny Harris.
