Obituary of Wiley Allen Mitcham

Wiley Allen “Billy” Mitcham, 70, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018. He was born January 29, 1948 in Beaumont, Texas to the late Wiley Mitcham and Lou Bessie Mitcham.

Billy leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Virginia Darlene Mitcham of Rockland; sons, Doyle Mitcham of Rockland, Kenneth Lindsy and wife Cyndi of Vian, Oklahoma; brothers, John Mitcham and wife Brenda of Rockland, Wesley Mitcham of Lumberton;  sisters, June Mitchell and husband William of Lumberton, Zula Bassett of Huntington, and Rebecca Gilchreist of Lumberton; granddaughters, Jeanna Lindsy, Katie Lindsy, Shae Lindsy, and Paris Lindsy;  and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joseph Mitcham and George Mitcham; and sister, Francis Stanford.

A visitation will be held Friday, October 26, 2018 at Tejas Baptist Church in Colmesneil from 10AM-12PM with the funeral service to follow at 12PM with Brother Bill Massey officiating. Burial will be held at Rockland Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Wylie Mitcham, Tray Smith, Grady Mason, Billy Mitchell, Michael Mitcham, and Tommy Munselle. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Heath Pope.
