Obituary of Thomas Raymond Collier
Raymond Collier, 79, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018 of a heart attack.
Raymond leaves behind a wife of 61 years, Dorothy Collier and two children, son, Dewayne Collier of Woodville and daughter, Karen Purrier and husband, Darran of Livingston; four grandsons, two great granddaughters and three great grandsons; sister, Elizabeth Tesson and husband, Leroy of Woodville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Raymond was the youngest son of John Wesley and Vivian Etoile Collier of Woodville, Tx. He was a hard working husband, father and grandfather who loved his family who was all very special to him. Raymond worked in the “Industrial” field most of his life working at Waukesha Pearce, Ind., Compressor Dynamic’s Ind., and Production Operator’s.
Raymond loved to fish every chance he got and loved going out with his son in his boat and spending the day. Family gatherings were something he enjoyed, hearing family stories and adding some of his own. He was a long standing member of the Magnolia Masonic Lodge #495 in Woodville, Texas
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John Allen Collier and Wesley Elywin Collier; sister, Martha Christine Wallet and a granddaughter, Jamie Lee Ann Collier Andrews.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018, at 2 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Kendall Ayres officiating. A Masonic Funeral Rites service will be held at the funeral home following the service. Burial will follow at the Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
