Obituary of Gene Paul Witt

Gene Paul Witt, 95, of Warren passed away August 3, 2018.

Born November 22, 1922 in Bosque County, Texas to the late George and Aletha Snelson Witt he lived in Houston and Pasadena before moving to Splendora.  He retired from Baker Hughes Warehouse and moved to Warren in the 1980’s.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew and loved him. He was a World War II Air Force Veteran.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 59 years, Olga Lee Witt; son, Donnie Wayne Witt; four sisters and three brothers.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Genoyce Bell of Warren, Rebecca Willson and Carolyn Garza and husband, Norberto “Birdy” all of Splendora; grandchildren, Chris Bell and wife, Malenia, Treacy Dumas and husband, Lynn, Sarah Atkinson and husband, Kristopher,  Carey Lynn Willson, Joseph Paul Willson and wife, Katherine and Jamie Tolleson and husband, Joshua; great grandchildren, Jeremy Gannon, Wesley Bell, Cody Scruggs, Dustin Dumas, Shawn Dumas, Hannah Atkinson, Kayla Atkinson and a Blessing to come; great great grandchildren, Colton, Clayton, Kenley and Callie.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at 3:30 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow at the Allison Cemetery in Warren.  Visitation will be held Monday from 5 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
