Obituary of Helen Louise Scroggins
Helen L. Scroggins, 96, of Colmesneil passed away June 24, 2018.
Helen was born May 26, 1922 in Saratoga, Texas to the late George Washington Jones and Clara Patterson Jones.
Helen is survived by her daughters, Norvelle Rogers of Wildwood, Jean Bumstead and husband Billy of Woodville, and Tommie Sue Jones and David of Colmesneil; son, Charles Edwin Scroggins and wife Patricia of Doucette; grandchildren, Renee Adkins and husband Charles of Wildwood, Regina Pineda and husband DJ of Woodville, Rhonda Bennett and husband Curtis of Jasper, Jerry Bumstead and wife Terry of Woodville, Angela Boykin and Husband Frank of College Station, Jeff Moore and wife Emily of Fairview, Tennessee, Wayne Ray Lawson Jr. and wife Kay of DeRidder Louisiana, Tammy Lynn Wilson and husband Pete of Deridder, Louisiana, Tommy Scroggins and wife Melissa of Corinth, Charles Scroggins Jr. and wife Jacqueline of Conroe, and Timothy Scroggins and wife Kelli of Woodville; 33 great grandchildren; 29 great-great grandchildren; and a loving host of family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband W.T Scroggins; her parents; daughter, Carolyn Louise Scroggins; grandchildren, Jennifer Renee Moore, Billy Randall Bumstead; sisters, Ethel Faye Jones, Joyce Martha Jones, Loyce Mary Jones, Doris Evelyn Jones, and Ruth Marilyn Jones; brothers, Herman Lamar Jones, George Glenn Jones; and son in law Jesse Rogers.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 28, 2018, 2 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Bubba Sheffield officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Ground Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, from 12 pm until 2 pm at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Scroggins, Chip Scroggins, Tommy Scroggins, Jeff Moore, Chad Adkins, Cody Wilson, Dalton Bennett, and Curtis Bennett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Barrett Bennett, Blake Wilson, and Jake Medina.
Services were held under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County.
