Obituary of Thomas H. Ogden
Thomas H. “Buddy” Ogden, 81, of Woodville passed away June 2, 2018.
Born July 15, 1936 in Woodville, Texas to the late Hiram B. and Willory Ogden, Jr., he lived in Woodville most of his life. He was a US Army Veteran. Buddy was a man of many talents. He owned and operated the Texaco Station on the corner of HWY 190 and US HWY 69 in Woodville for many years. He owned and trained race horses, was a contractor and worked in the logging industry. He was a devoted and loving family man.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Arthur Joe Ogden and Donald Carl Ogden; sisters, Bennie Frances Morrow and Jessie Mae Fondren; and a great granddaughter, Bristol Saige Cole.
He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Ogden; daughter, Suzanne Rigby and husband, Clay of Woodville; son, Tommy Ogden and wife, Lisa of Woodville; grandchildren, Zack Rigby, serving in the United States Coast Guard and wife, Amy of North Carolina, Samantha Rigby of Woodville, Shay Ogden of Woodville, Paige Ogden of Woodville and Jordan Ogden of Woodville; great grandchildren, Layne Rowinsky of Woodville, Selah Maiden of Woodville, Adalynn Thrasher of Woodville and Cole Rigby of North Carolina; brothers, John D. Ogden of Diboll and H. B. Ogden of Huntington; and other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at 11 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Camp Ground Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2018, from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry McKee, Ken Dickens, Billy Fondren, Brian Bell, Ronnie Allen and Ernie Allen. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Clint Thetford, John Reynolds, James Nichols and Keith Fuller.
