Raymond Matthew Gilder
Raymond Matthew Gilder, 39, of Woodville passed away peacefully on May 13, 2014 at his home.
Born July 27, 1974 in Colmesneil, Texas to Matthew G. and Dorothy Holcomb Gilder, he lived in Woodville a number of years. He worked as a correctional officer for five years at the IAH Secure Adult Detention Facility. Raymond was a loving husband, son, brother, father and friend.
He was preceded in death by his father, Matthew Gerald Gilder.
Raymond is survived by his mother, Dorothy Jean Gilder; wife, Lauri Cook Gilder; daughter, Brooke Broussard; sons, Bryce Broussard and Brady Broussard; brothers, Damian Gerald Gilder and wife, Tamekka, David Mahan and Jonathan Mahan sisters, Melissa Summerline and Danna Cook; aunts and uncles, “Aunt Aunt” Catherine and Henery Deason, Emma and Oliver Greer, Luther “L.C.” Holcomb, James and Carla Lacy, Jacqueline Gilder Jackson, Ronnie and Alice Faye Gilder; two special nephews, Juan E. Gilder and Antwain Scott; in-laws, Thomas and Gwyneth Poole and Richard and Judy Cook; many special cousins and friends from work including Warden David Stocks, Captain Pete Coffin and Captain Raymond Lipscomb.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 1 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with Brother Edward Gambrell, Brother Oliver Greer and Brother Anthony Collins officiating.
Services are held under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County.
