Obituary of Ellis Lee Gibbs

Ellis Lee Gibbs, 67, of Colmesneil, TX passed away Monday, May 5, 2014 at Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston, TX. A native of Colmesneil, he was born on October 14, 1946 to E.W. and Rosie (Brown) Gibbs. He was a retired drilling consultant with 40 years of service with Petro Hunt. His grandchildren were the light of his life. Proceded in death by his parents and sister Alice Langham, he is survived by his wife of 44 years, Peggy (Comte) Gibbs; sons Robert and wife Paula, Billy and wife Charla; daugher Rhonda and husband Bobby; brother Ben Gibbs; sister Willie Hare; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 5-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Riley Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 10 am followed by burial at Davis Cemetery.
