Obituary of Linda Johnson Jordan

Linda Johnson Jordan, 63, of Spurger passed away April 12, 2018.

Linda was born to Marvin Henry Johnson and Lela Katherine Odom Johnson on June 4, 1954 in Pleasanton, Texas.  Linda grew up as a Coastguard kid and lived all over.  She loved to reminisce and her favorite place she lived was Hawaii.  She grew up with four brothers whom she loved dearly.  Once her Dad retired, Linda came back to Texas and met Eddie.  It was an instant connection.  They were married for nearly 46 years.  Linda spent her days being a Mamma to her four children.  A role she was born to play.  She then became a Nanny to her grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart.  She dedicated her entire adult life to her husband, children, and grandchildren.  She loved collecting Barbies, all things Texas, and was a Cowboys fan through and through.  She loved going to the movies and concerts, especially George Strait.  She was a talented seamstress and she found such joy in sewing many things for her children and grandchildren.  She put everyone above herself, never complaining.  Two years ago we finally convinced her to do something for herself and she began taking college courses and was so proud to be a college student.  She always faithfully attended church.  She put all of her trust in God and her message was "God's got it".  And she stood by it.  There are no words to express how badly she is and will be missed.

She was preceded in death by all of her grandparents, her dad, Marvin Johnson and brother, Joseph Allen Johnson.

Linda is survived by her mother, Katherine Johnson; brothers, Johnny Johnson and wife, Cathy, Jack Johnson, James Johnson and wife, Amy; husband, Eddie Jordan; children, Shannon Smith and husband, Jason, Mitzi McElvain and husband, Mark, Therese Bible and Husband, Shawn, son,  Ed Jordan and wife, Kara; grandchildren, Hunter Smith, Lane Smith, Kaitlynne Jagneaux, Bethany Robinson,  Levi Robinson, Sammy McElvain, Luka Jordan, Woodrow Jordan, Eli Jordan and Ava Ann Bible and a host of nieces, nephews other family members and friends.
