Obituary of Jana Andrews

Jana Andrews, 51 of Warren, passed away peacefully February 17th surrounded by her family. She was born in Van Horn, Texas to Tommy Ard and Nelda Widner Ard on March 8, 1966.

Jana spent most of her young life in Woodville, until the age of 24 when she met the love of her life, Jimmy Andrews. Jana soon realized he was the man of her dreams and they married after only 3 months of dating. Jana and Jimmy shared a love of 28 years which was and remains a true love story, where the spark was never lost. Through their love they raise two children, Heather and Bubba, which they instilled in them an example of love, compassion and strong work ethic.

Jana had a true love for life which was evident in everything she did. She loved fishing and bow fishing on the river. Working and exercising race horses for Suzie Sherr was also a passion of hers. She worked at Tolar’s Feed for many years where she enjoyed every aspect, especially all the customers. Jana was very outgoing and took every opportunity to live and enjoy life to the fullest, with those she loved.

She lived with ALS for several years, and fought it until the bitter end. Her biggest concern after being diagnosed was the effect it would have on her family and that they remain WHOLE. Even though her life was short, it was full.  Jana was and remains the rock of this family and leaves in their hearts a message, “you can be sad and cry but do not unpack here, keep moving forward.”

Jana is preceded in death by her parents; niece, Sarah Beth; Granny Widner; and Nanny Dubose

She is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Andrews; Daughter, Heather Moore and husband Phillip of Warren; Son, James “Bubba” Andrews of Warren; Grandchildren, Layne Elkins, PJ Moore, Miranda Moore, Holly Moore and Melody Moore; Jana is also survived by numerous other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2018, 2:00 pm at Riley Funeral Home with Brother Charlie Dean officiating.

Services are under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County.
