Obituary of James L. Harrison

James L. Harrison, 70, of Woodville passed away January 7, 2018.

Born February 23, 1947 in Woodville, Tx to the late Edward R. Harrison and Evelyn Rae Elam-Mahaffey, he lived in Woodville for many years.  He was retired from Duke University.  James was a Army Veteran and a member of the VFW Post 0292 Mascoutah, IL for 16 years. 

James is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Jolene Harrison of Beasely; daughter, Megan Harrison of Marietta, GA; brothers, Eddy Harrison and wife, Jo of Woodville and Robert Harrison of Woodville; sisters, Sandra Wheeler of Aurora, CO and Mary Poncho of Woodville; granddaughters, Jill Volf and husband, Chris of Sugarland and Jamie Callahan and husband, Joe of Ducksbury Beach, Mass;  great grandchildren, Cannon, Case, Jax, Joey and Jocelyn; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday, January 12, 2018, at 12 noon at the Camp Ground Cemetery with Dr. Raymond Parker officiating.  Visitation will be held Thursday, January 11, 2018, from 5 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home.
