Obituary of Etoil Williams Jones

~~Etoil “Eydie” Williams Jones entered eternal life on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the age of 86 after a brave struggle with Alzheimer’s. Her spirit is carried on by her sister Sue Slagel and brother in-law Tom, sister in-law Jean Williams, son Don Jones, daughter Debi Jones Freitag, foster daughter Michelle Schaefer and her daughters Lera and Destiny, grandchildren Sarah Figer, Karah Falke, Jessica Pislan, her six great-grandchildren Chase, Lorelei, Landon, Micah, Anton and Luna and many nieces and nephews.
Eydie was born on June 28, 1931 to Monroe and Pearl Williams in Many, Louisiana. She spent her childhood in Warren, Texas with her three siblings. Eydie loved hunting in the East Texas woods with her father and fishing along the winding banks of the rivers with her mother. It was rumored that she could out shoot her father and her two brothers. After graduating from Warren High School in 1950, Eydie set out to start a family and explore the world. She pursued modeling, advertising, real estate and journalism. However, she was the proudest of her time as a missionary for YWAM. She loved painting for her friends and family, horseback riding, camping, and spending time with her family and faithful dogs.  Her passions took her as far as Africa and China, leaving her with many stories to share throughout the years.
The funeral service will be held at Riley Funeral Home on Saturday, November 25th at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Hester Cemetery in Warren. Visitation will be held at Riley Funeral Home on Friday, November 24th from 6:00-8:00 pm.
