Obituary of Ruby Smith

~~Ruby Smith, 78, of Colmesneil passed away November 14, 2017.
Born April 8, 1939 in Warren, Texas to the late James and Trudie Smart McCollum, she lived in Tyler County most of her life.  She was a faithful servant to the Lord as a long-standing member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Colmesneil, Texas.  She cherished the life she shared with her family and friends, and her passion for beautiful flower gardens and the outdoor life of hunting and fishing.  She will forever be remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Silas Odie Smith; sister, Josephine McCollum Overstreet; brother, Jimmy McCollum.
She is survived by her loving family, daughters, Sharon Smith Overstreet of Brookeland, Sherree Lynn Smith Owens and husband, Calvin Jr. of Warren, Shirleen (Punkin) Smith Cowen and husband, Jerry, Sr. of Livingston; sons, Irwin Odie Smith and wife, Oletha Kay of Warren, Edwin DeWayne Smith and Alisha Myers of Silsbee; brothers, Gene McCollum of Warren and Elroy McCollum and wife, Sandy of Silsbee; twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; special companion, Derald Lange of Colmesneil; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 10 am at the Justice Cemetery in Warren with Brother Jimmy Graham officiating.  Visitation will be held Friday, November 17, 2017, from 6 pm until 8 pm at Riley Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Smith, Cody Smith, Edwin (Boogerman) Smith, Jr., Michael Smith, Sam Smith, Ronnie Foxworth and Joe Don Cherry.  Honorary pallbearer will be Shawne Owens.
