Obituary of Elbert Edward Smith

~~Elbert “Ed” Edward Smith, 85, of Woodville, Texas passed away October 21, 2017.

He was born to Roland J. Smith and Jeanette Byrd Smith.  Ed served in the Korean War.  He was a carpenter by trade but enjoyed shrimping, fishing and hunting.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Arthur Smith, sister, Zula Loper his son, Frank Smith,  his daughter, Tonya Kaye Smith and a stepson, Roland Decker.

He is survived by his wife, Lurline Smith; son, Jessie Smith; sisters, Jane Gasperecz, Billie Smith, and Mary Alice Romero and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Graveside service was held Thursday, October 26, 2017, at 2 pm at Fairview Cemetery in Town Bluff with Brother Hollis Lilley officiating.  Visitation was held Thursday from 1 pm until the time of the service.
