Obituary of Clyde Alfred Braddock Jr.
~~Clyde “Buster” Alfred Braddock, Jr., 81, of Spurger passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends on July 17, 2017.
Born December 25, 1935 in Carthage, N.C. to the late Clyde and Alice (Speer) Braddock, Sr., he moved to Spurger in 1977. He worked as a machinist most of his life and retired from Temple Inland in 2008. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served from 1953 till 1956. Clyde was a wonderful father and husband who provided for his family. He loved his grandchildren and was proud of each one. Clyde enjoyed growing gardens, fishing and cooking. He especially enjoyed the company of his friends and family.
Clyde is survived by his children, Denise Bruns and husband, Robert of Charlotte, N.C., Cindy Hardy of Spurger, Michael Braddock and wife, Frances of Katy; siblings, Helen Coley , Bernice Hunt and husband, David and Donald Braddock and wife, Carolyn all of Carthage, N.C. and Doris Woodell of Raeford, N.C.; special niece, Vicki Diver of Carthage, N.C.; grandchildren, Angelia LeFloor, Ashley Jenkins, Jeremiah Braddock, Michella Braddock, Dustin Hardy, Maci Hardy, Jenni Waldon and Christi Waldon; great grandchildren, Jade Alexander, Josh Alexander, Madison Weisinger, Danny Weisinger, Hannah Evdosuk, Brittany Aguillard, Cory Aguillard, and Jody Aguillard; sister-in-law, Annie Braddock of Spurger and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Alice Braddock; wife, Patricia Alice Braddock and a brother, Owen Raymond Braddock.
Funeral service will be held Friday, July 21, 2017, at 3 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Marvin Mott officiating. Burial will follow at the Turner Branch Cemetery in Spurger, Tx. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
