Obituary of Robert Leon Todd

~~Robert Leon Todd, long-time resident of Ivanhoe, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2017, surrounded by family and friends, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Los Angeles in 1933, grew up in Port Acres, and lived in Beaumont for most of his working years, before retiring from Fina and moving to Ivanhoe.
He is survived by his partner Cathy Bennett; three children, Candace Hill, Suzette Broussard and Lance Todd; three step children, Jennifer Greenwell, Enrique Greenwell, and Laura Brackin; four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He was a wonderful partner, father, and friend to all.

Leon served in the US Army, stationed most of that time in Germany.
He loved to travel and was a member of many car and motorcycle clubs.
He served on the Ivanhoe Property Owners Association Board where he became President. After the Ivanhoe flood of 1996, Leon oversaw the reconstruction of the community’s dams, and was known thereafter as the Dam Man.  He also served on the Tyler County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.  He was much loved and will be missed by all.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 9th at 2:00 PM at the Ivanhoe Community Center, 870 Charmaine Dr. E.
