Obituary of Opal E Molenda
~~Opal E. “Kitty” Molenda, 83, of Woodville passed away peacefully on May 22, 2017.
Born March 4, 1934 in Jamestown, Tennessee to the late Harrison and Cora Clairbourn King, she lived in Woodville for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew and loved her. She enjoyed crafts but especially cake decorating where she made many cakes for her family.
Kitty was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Lawrence P. Molenda; daughter, Debbie Baumgartner; and a granddaughter, Valerie Marie Cockerham.
She is survived by her loving family, her daughter, Dawn Cockerham (Richard Brister) of Vidor; sons, Larry Molenda of Houston, Bobby Molenda of Vidor and Kevin Molenda of Woodville; son-in-law, Len Baumgartner of Taverse, FL; brother, Winburn King (Fern) of Jamestown, TN; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held Friday, May 26, 2017, at 2 pm at Riley Funeral Home Chapel. A cremation service will be held at a later date.
