Obituary of Bonnie King Allen
~~Bonnie King Allen, 75, of Ivanhoe passed away May 20, 2017.
Born February 28, 1942 to the late Gary and Violet Bishop King in Magnolia, Texas, she has lived in Tyler County since the early 1970’s. She retired from retail working at Birdwell Department Store, Big Star Grocery, and Fairway Foods. She was instrumental in helping in the opening of Wal-Mart and McDonald’s when they first opened to Woodville. She was a faithful volunteer for the Children’s Miracle Network and for the McDonald’s children foundations. In 1992, she married Jerry Allen in a Wal-Mart wedding that was attended by many from the community.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Iris Cupp and Evie Moore; husband, Jerry Allen and a grandson, Brandle Christopher David Goebel.
She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Vidale Elizabeth Goebel and Billy Radney; son, Valmore Edward Goebel and wife, Ashley Goebel; grandchildren, Joshua Randal Herrington, MaKenzi Iris Herrington and Gabriel Ethan Herrington all of Woodville, Kelsie Lynn Renee Goebel and MaKayla Ashlynn Elizabeth Goebel both of Woodville, Julianna Aubree Marie Goebel and Jackson Conner Goebel both of Kentucky; great grandchild, Ethan Harris; step grandchildren, Bryan-Addam Scot Herrington and Kristianna Tia Herrington both of Woodville and Christian Tyler Dennis and Jailun Alexanda Tyree both of Kentucky; step son, Jerry Allen of Woodville; God Daughter, Rebecca Ashley Julian; and numerous other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 25, 2017, at 10:30 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel. Bonnie will be interned at Frank’s Branch Cemetery in Fred, Tx.
