Obituary of Billie Joyce Adams

Billie Joyce Adams, 79, of Woodville passed away April 9, 2017. Born March 10, 1938 in Hemphill, Texas to the late A.M. and Lucille Morris Rains, she lived in Woodville for many years. She was retired from banking. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew and loved her. Billie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Vance Adams. She is survived by her loving family, daughters, Teresa Stokely of Woodville and Cheryl Buzbee of Tyler; sons, Tony Gorgano and wife, Vanessa of Rancho Cucamonga, California, Mario Gorgano of The Woodlands and Robert Adams of Trinity; brother, Jerry Rains and wife, Sherrie of Woodville; sisters, Dorothy Comte of Huntington and Penny Rains of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Heather Scammon, Mario Gorgano, Rockell Gorgano, Taylor Rynski, Sarah Gorgano, Jordan Stokely, Taren Adams, Hunter Adams, Kyle Buzbee, Merideth Buzbee and Allie Buzbee; great grandchildren, Khloe Gorgano, Kynlee Adams, Micah Scammon and Madison Scammon; and a host of other family members and friends. A grave side service will be held Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 11 am at the Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2017, from 5 pm until 8 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel.
