Obituary of John Andrew McMillen

John A. McMillen, 82, of Woodville passed away peacefully on March 21, 2017. Born September 5, 1934 in Liberty, Texas to the late Dewey and Blanche (Jannise) McMillen, Sr., he lived in many areas of the United States while working in the oil field. After retiring as a driller, he moved to the Plum Ridge community in Jasper County where he enjoyed fishing before moving to Woodville in 2012. He was a kind and loving man who never met a stranger. John is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Margaret Hanks McMillen; brother-in-law, Darwin Hanks; siblings, Mary Helena Denker, Francis Charles McMillen, Jacques James McMillen and wife, Rose, Bertha Evelina Theriot, Josephine Elizabeth Smesny and Joseph Augustine McMillen and wife, Judy; numerous nieces, nephews other family members and friends. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 24, 2017, at 2 pm at the Riley Funeral Home in Woodville with Brother Randy Herrington officiating. Burial will follow at the Ebenezer Cemetery in Colmesneil. Visitation will be held Friday from 12 noon until the time of the service. Condolences may be made at www.rileysfuneralhome.com
