Obituary of William Hansford Saunders, Sr.

William (Bill) Hansford Saunders, Sr. 91 of Colmesneil, Texas passed away on March 18, 2017 of natural causes. Bill retired from Unocal Refinery in Port Neches after 37 years of service. He is preceded in death by his wife Helen G. Saunders, son William H. Saunders Jr., his mother Rosa Maude Kercher and father William Drew Saunders, brother Robert Saunders and his sister Peggy Roberson. He is survived by his three sons Phillip Saunders, Robert Saunders and Paul Saunders and four daughters Brenda Chiappetta, Sherrie Ransonette, Rebecca Saunders and Regina Heiner as well as 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. The viewing will be held on the evening of Monday, March 20th, 2017 between 5 – 8PM and the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 at 11:00AM, at Riley’s Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas. Graveside service will follow the funeral at Sandhill Cemetery in Colmesneil, Texas.
