Obituary of Richard Edwin Jordan

Richard Edwin Jordan went to be with Our Lord on Sunday, February 19, 2017 in Beaumont, Texas at the age of 74. Richard was born at home in Spurger, Texas on Monday, September 21, 1942 to Horace Edwin Jordan and Nellie Lucille Hollis Jordan. He was married to Beverly Bernice Hatton Jordan on December 8, 1962. Richard was an active member of First Baptist Church Warren and served as a Deacon for many years at his previous churches. He was an admirable Christian and was devout and steadfast in his service to the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, by his father-in-law, Rufus Aubrey Hatton and mother-in-law, Edna Mae Brown Hatton, whom he loved dearly. Richard is survived by his wife, Beverly Hatton Jordan; son, Victor Jordan and wife, Sandy Jordan; his daughter, Rhonda Johnston and husband, Scott Johnston; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and his brother, Raymond Jordan. A visitation will be held at Riley Funeral Home in Woodville, on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 4 pm until 6 pm. The funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Warren, Texas.
