Obituary of Reitha Jean Blankenship

Reitha Jean Blankenship, 80, of Pineland passed away on January 19, 2017. She was born February 13, 1936 to Burel and Marie Houck Farner. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Reitha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Marley Craig Blankenship; her husband Gary Lee Barber; brother Richard Farner; sister Jessie Garrett; and granddaughter Chrystal Barber. Left to cherish her memories are her children Donald Barber and wife Patricia of Vidor, Mark Barber of Mauriceville, Michael Barber of Vidor, Odie McKennley of Pineland, and Terry Blankenship of Spurger; grandchildren Lana Manly, Derrick Barber, Mandy Barber, Sara Barber, Gary Christopher Barber, Craig Booth, Daniel Blankenship, and Marlon Brandon Blankenship; six great grandchildren; sisters Cathleen Lawhorn of Little Rock, AR, Jenna Lee Garrett of Norman, OK, and Bonnie Harmon of Bryant, AK. Services for Reitha will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with Reverend Donald Barber officiating. She will be laid to rest at Turner Branch Cemetery in Spurger. Arrangements are under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County.
