Obituary of Iva Jean Pomeroy

Iva Jean Pomeroy, 87, of Magnolia passed away January 9, 2017 in Houston. She was born December 8, 1929 in Smith Ferry, TX to Edgar and Betty Ann Brannon Fox. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was a member of Oak Grove Church. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Iva was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands Bernard E. Massey and Barney Pomeroy. She is survived by her daughter Jean L. Williams of Magnolia; son Edgar W. Massey, Sr. and Cynthia S. Gross of Lumberton, son Thomas R. Massey and wife Jeanette of Magnolia; grandchildren Andrea Riggenback and husband Sean of the Woodlands, Chris Williams of Magnolia, Connie McClellan and husband Michael of Pearland, Bonnie Massey-Rodriguez and husband Michael of League City, Edgar Wayne Massey, Jr. and Stephanie Richmond of Lumberton, Ray Gross and wife Megan of Beaumont; great grandchildren Austin, Hailey, Mikey, Alissa, Gabriel, Kayden, Elijah; and several nephews. Services for Iva will be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Riley Funeral Home in Woodville with Brother Ronald Wayne Davis, Sr. officiating. She will be buried at Davis Cemetery in Colmesneil. Visitation will be from 10 am until the start of services.
