Obituary of Alpha Willis Shine

Alpha Willis Shine, 65, of Livingston went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 while surrounded by her family. Alpha was born June 7, 1951 in Beaumont Texas to A.E. "Bo" and Betty Willis. She was a graduate of Nederland High School and Blinn Junior College. She spent her life dedicated to serving the Lord, and was happiest when caring for and teaching children and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Larry Shine; her mother Betty Willis of Livingston; daughter Christina Shine of Frisco; son Justin Shine of Port Arthur; daughter Crystal Dowd and son in law Bryan of Spring; her grandchildren Taylor and Kayleigh Dowd, and Scout Shine. She was preceded in death by her father, Bo Willis, her brother Daryl Joe, and her sister Emile Cecile. Services for Alpha are scheduled for 10 am on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville, followed by burial at Allison Cemetery in Warren. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-7 pm on Thursday, January 5, 2017.
