Obituary of Marceile Stafford

Marceile Stafford, 89, of Village Mills, TX passed away December 22, 2016. She was born in Lufkin, TX on March 18, 1927 and was raised there. She lived in Houston for many years before retiring to Woodville, TX where she lived for over thirty years. Marceile then moved to Village Mills where she has lived for the last ten years. She was a beautician for years and loved the work. She loved gardening, especially her tomato plants. She was also a member of Dogwood Hills Baptist Church in Woodville. Marceile was preceded in death by her daughter Barbara Phirfman. She is survived by her husband Thomas Stafford; daughters Lucille Balch and husband Alfred, Joan Gay and husband Allen; son Harold Spurlock; her only surviving sibling Maxine Holsomback; eleven grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services for Marceile will be held at Riley Funeral Home in Woodville at 11 am on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 5-7 pm at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Magnolia Cemetery.
