Obituary of Marie Annette Layton Greenway

Marie Annette Layton Greenway, 75, of Chester passed away November 21, 2016. Annette was born on April 20, 1941 in Jackson, Mississippi to J. L. and Eula Ree Mayfield Layton. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be missed by all who loved her. Annette was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James Joel Greenway; brother John Layton; and grandson Bo Cox. She is survived by her daughters Lynn Greenway Jarvis and husband Charles of Chester, Kimberly Greenway Bennett and husband Jimmy of Longview, Angie Greenway Bowen and husband Dody; grandchildren Lee Berry of Chester, Chase Cox and Haley of Corrigan, Lydia Cox, Amanda Pounds, Cody Bowen, and Joshua Bowen, all of Chester; great grandchildren Phillip Berry of Chester, Layton Cox and Lainey Cox of Corrigan, Aiden Shepherd, Harley Weber, Marae Pounds, and Caedence Pounds of Chester; sisters Wanda Layton and Hal Metzger, and Betsy Key and husband David; and brother Julius Layton and wife Joyce. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 25, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with visitation from 11:00 am until start of service. Services will be conducted by Brother Todd Pounds and Brother Mark Cox. She will be laid to rest in Pine Grove Cemetery in the Barnum Community, Polk County, Texas.
