Obituary of Deborah Foxworth Kurtin

Deborah (Debbie) Foxworth Kurten, born July 27, 1959, passed away peacefully at home on November 5, 2016 with Lexie and Penny near, and her family and friends holing her hands. She fought a brave and determined battle against Amyotrophic Late3rl Sclerosis and never gave up the fight. We are thankful for those who helped us through this journey, including the Texas Chapter of the ALS Association and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Many dedicated people showed great love and respect in her care which honored her 30-year career as a nurse. These fine folks include the staff of Heart to Heart Hospice, her children (David Gregory, Kimberly Gregory Armstrong, and Misty Foxworth Clements) and their spouses (Crystal, Willie, and Kory), stepchildren (Heather and Sarah Kurten), and two special doctors (Dr. Lotika Misra and Dr. Rajish Shetty of the Seton Family of Doctors). Nana loved her grandchildren deeply and spent her final summer with her kids and grandkids (Christian Gregory, Logan Armstrong, Brandon Gregory, and Karlee Armstrong) by her side. They massaged her sore muscles, helped her to get up and down, read stories to her, got her tea, moved rocks for her, mowed the grass, walked with her, talked and laughed with her, make trails in the woods to drive her around in her golf cart, and guilt a special place where Debbie and her husband, Gerald Kurten, renewed their vows after 21 years of marriage. Services will be held at Riley Funeral Home Chapel at 10am on Wednesday, November 9, 2016. Debbie will be laid to rest at the feet of her Father and Mother (Alton and Letty Foxworth) in Fellowship Cemetery near her hometown of Warren, Texas. She is survived by her brothers Michael, Timmy, Donny and Keith Foxworth, their spouses, and many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
