Obituary of Lawrence Joe Robinson

Lawrence Joe “Larry” Robinson passed away peacefully on July 11, 2016. Born March 29, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas to Lawrence and LaWanda Coles Robinson, he attended Texas Christian University where he was a member of the ROTC. He was then drafted and joined the Navy where he became an air controller during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he worked in Houston for Drillco in manufacturing. He 1976 he and his wife, Karen, moved to Colorado where he served in sales for the Rocky Mountain Region. In 1984 he moved to Woodville where he worked for Grant Prideco in Houston. Larry retired in 1999 but went back to work at Lowes. He was devoted to and loved his family with all his heart. Larry is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Rex Robinson. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Stanley Robinson; sons, Heath Robinson of Woodville and Brandon Robinson and wife, Kymberlee of Silsbee; daughter, Melissa Meiser and husband, Chris of Spring; mother, Wanda Corradetti of Houston; brother, Wesley Robinson of Austin; sisters, Michele Byrne of Houston and Lanise Noland; grandchildren, Ethan Robinson, Jax Robinson and Mako Meiser; and many other family members and friends. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016, at 4:30 pm at the Camp Ground Cemetery in Woodville. Visitation will be held Saturday from 2 pm until 4 pm at the funeral home.
