Obituary of Georgean Angle

Georgean (GiGi) Angle passed away on April 22, 2016. GiGi was born November 18, 1950 in Houston, TX. She graduated from Austin High School in Houston and from Baldwin Beauty School in 1970. GiGi also worked in the medical field in office management, billing, and helping new physicians opening their private clinics. She was a member of ABWA for several years and also attended message therapy school while in California. She moved to Woodville, TX in 1990 from California. GiGi became a licensed genealogist in 1970 and dedicated most of her time to helping others find their family roots. She wrote several books on how to trace your roots and many books she compiled are located at Heritage Village in Woodville, TX. She taught Sylvia Odom on computer and genealogy. GiGi also taught classes at the LDS Church, Allen Shivers Library and at Heritage Village. She opened and worked the LDS Genealogy Library in Woodville. GiGi is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Ashley of Deer Park, TX. She is survived by her mother, Lila Angle of Jasper; daughter Tamera Brandin and husband Ray of Jena, LA; grandchildren Austin Sims, Payton Sims, Robert Sims, and Haven Sims, all of Woodville; stepson Darrell Ashley of Houston; stepdaughter DeAnn Ashley of Houston; and nephew Ethan Scott of Austin. Services are under the direction of Riley Funeral Home in Woodville, TX.
